Welcome to geocarpentry.com. These Terms of Service (“Terms“) govern your use of our website and services provided by Geo Carpentry LLC (“Geo Carpentry“, “we“, “us“, “our“). By accessing our Site or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Site

You may use our Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, databases, or systems

• Interfere with the Site’s operation or other users’ access

2. Services & Estimates

All estimates provided by Geo Carpentry are free and come with no obligation. Estimates are based on information provided by you and an on-site inspection when applicable. Final pricing is subject to a signed written contract.

Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Material costs and availability may change beyond our control.

3. Contracts & Scope of Work

All construction, remodeling, and carpentry work is governed by a signed written contract that details:

• Scope of work and deliverables
• Materials, specifications, and allowances
• Timeline and milestones
• Payment schedule
• Warranty terms
• Change order procedures

The signed contract governs the project and takes precedence over any verbal agreements or prior communications.

4. Licensing & Insurance

Geo Carpentry LLC is fully licensed and insured in the state of Wisconsin. We carry general liability insurance and workers’ compensation coverage. Proof of licensing and insurance is available upon request.

5. Permits & Inspections

We handle all required permit applications and schedule inspections with local Wisconsin building departments as part of our standard service. Permit fees are passed through to the customer at cost unless explicitly included in the estimate.

6. Warranty

Geo Carpentry warrants all workmanship for one (1) year from the date of project completion against defects in materials and craftsmanship, subject to the following limitations:

• Warranty does not cover damage from normal wear and tear, misuse, or neglect
• Warranty does not cover damage from weather events, natural disasters, or third-party actions
• Manufacturer warranties (for products like appliances, cabinets, flooring) are governed separately by each manufacturer’s terms

7. Payment Terms

Payment schedules are defined in each signed contract. Typical terms include a deposit upon signing, progress payments at defined milestones, and a final payment upon completion. Overdue payments may incur late fees as specified in the contract.

8. Changes & Cancellations

Changes to the scope of work after contract signing require a written change order signed by both parties. Change orders may affect the timeline and final cost.

Cancellations after contract signing may result in charges for work already performed, materials already purchased, and reasonable overhead costs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Wisconsin law, Geo Carpentry LLC’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services is limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the specific project in question. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and software) is the property of Geo Carpentry LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Brown County, Wisconsin.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
