Reality: Interior projects often go FASTER in winter because there are fewer parallel projects pulling on subcontractors (electricians, plumbers). Material delivery is also faster when supply chains aren’t strained by summer demand.
Myth #4: Winter Cold Damages Materials
Reality: Modern materials (paint, drywall mud, adhesives) are formulated to work at indoor temperatures year-round. Wood acclimates fine in heated indoor spaces. The only concern is exterior work like concrete and roofing, which we schedule for spring or fall.
Myth #5: Permits Take Forever in Winter
Reality: Wisconsin building departments are LESS busy in winter, so permits often come back faster. Inspections are typically scheduled within 2–5 days instead of the 1–2 week summer wait.
